President Mahama said the local enterprises of Ghana should vigorously develop the production of cables and power transformers and other products to protect domestic supply.
At the same time, President Mahama pointed out the prohibition of the import of cables, transformers, and other products, Mainly because of concerns about quality problems.
And many fires in Ghana can be avoided if local companies can support the production of cables, and transformers, and improve product quality.
President Mahama believes that Ghana is fully capable of independent production of cable, and transformer capacity, so don’t need to import from other countries.
Indeed, I was shocked by such news which is not good news for our ZMSCable group, especially for our oversea department. Our ZMS has exported many cables to Ghana since 2012.
We have a lot of Clients from Ghanan, including our regular and potential customers.
We will contact our clients if all types of cables will be prohibited from importing. As our cable product range is so wide.
