The Wire and Cable Chamber of Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the Chamber of Commerce) has taken a number of measures to actively carry out activities to promote the healthy and rapid development of the wire and cable industry and achieved remarkable results.
Taking quality accidents as a preventive measure to carry out industry rectification. The subway cable quality accident occurred in March 2017, and the number of cables produced by related companies was unqualified. The Chamber of Commerce seized on this incident and educated its member companies. Shortly after the incident, the Chamber of Commerce held an industry seminar to inform and discuss the subway cable incident. At the seminar, the “Wire and Cable Industry Self-discipline Initiative” was issued, and the “Wire and Cable Specification” was formulated and promulgated. Then, the Chamber of Commerce cooperated with the quality inspection department to inspect the provincial wire and cable enterprises. A total of 398 companies were inspected and 46 cases were filed. Among them, 2 people were transferred to the public security department, 6 people canceled production licenses, 11 people revoked production licenses, and 4 people were revoked business licenses. This measure plays an important role in correcting the cable industry, stabilizing and improving product quality. Many companies have taken action to find weak links, improve and adhere to standards, and improve product quality.
