Seacom announced Africa submarine cable system operators, will spend 15 billion Kenya shillings (about 1 billion yuan) building a submarine fiber optic cable system connecting Kenya and Mauritius.
Seacom said the new submarine cable system business broadband Internet access will allow all local operators, making Kenya more Internet connections, improving Kenya Internet speed and connection quality.
Not only that, the new system just added other digital infrastructure, which is currently scheduled to Kenya submarine cable landing stations located in the country's second-largest city Mombasa, also will build data centers and cloud services platform to achieve Kenya Internet connections to more African countries.
Under the plan, Kenya-Mauritius submarine fiber optic cable system will be completed and put into production in early 2019.
