Malawi Finance, Economic Planning and Development Minister Goodall Gondwe said a few days ago that the Chinese government will provide 160 million yuan loan for the construction of the backbone fiber optic network in Malawi for 15 years.
At present, Malawi has a total of six fiber optic network system, connecting major cities and ports to SEACOM and EASSy submarine cable landing system.
Among them, the Malawi telecommunications company MTL and Malawi power supply company ESCOM each have three optical fiber network system.
The Chinese government's financing of the country's fiber optic backbone network to further expand the Malawi domestic fiber network system coverage, so that more users access to high-speed Internet, improve the user experience.
