CDWP central development working group of Pakistan today approved 13 such high-voltage transmission development projects, with a total investment of about 91 billion rupees (about 5.5 billion yuan).
Among them, 6 projects have been approved, with a total investment of about 3 billion rupees about 180 million yuan), and the remaining 7 projects have been approved by the CDWP and recommended to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council for approval, with a total investment of about 88 billion rupees about 5.3 billion yuan).
According to relevant regulations, CDWP authority approves projects up to a total investment of 3 billion rupees, so the remaining items need to be submitted for approval to the Executive Committee.
In its application for approval of the project, more than 220,000-volt high-voltage transmission projects, as well as the 500,000-volt high voltage AC transmission projects and HVDC transmission project, which is Pakistan's power infrastructure construction of key projects in the coming years.
CDWP said electricity infrastructure is the basis for national economic and social development over the next ten years, Pakistan will increase investment in this area, in addition to increased capacity, will also build a number of high-voltage transmission lines, to strengthen power transmission capacity, so as to improve the quality of domestic electricity supply.
