Recently, a number of power projects in Uganda, France and Germany received a total of 110 million euros in development assistance and financial support. Among them, the German Bank for Reconstruction and Development to provide 40 million euros, the French Development Agency to provide 45 million euros, while the German Bank for Reconstruction and Development also provides 5.25 million euros.
It is reported that the support of the power project, the most talked about is located in the Muzizi River downstream hydropower project is expected to generate 220 gigawatt hours.
Uganda Finance Minister Kasaija said at the signing ceremony that the Ministry of Finance will provide the same amount of financial support for these power projects and related projects to further accelerate the development of domestic power infrastructure to improve the stability and security of domestic power supply to meet the needs of socio-economic development .
