On May 6th in Guangzhou, transformer substation of 220 KV was on operation. It is the first substation since “the 13th Five-Year Plan” in Guangzhou, and is also a third 220 KV substation in Yuexiu district from the start location to put into production for 14 years. And it is the longest time span substation in the history of substation construction project.
Guangzhou, as a national center, its stable operation of power grid not only influences the city's economic development, but also plays an important role in the social and economic development.
It is reported that in Guangzhou electricity consumption is still growing at a rate of 5% a year. And it is expected to light up the growth rate to build 66 substations. In order to meet the growing electricity demand in Guangzhou, it will expand 16 substations of 110 KV and above.
