Basic Introduction of Cables

For those who are getting started, the wires are always a bit silly. 

The wires refer to the wires that conduct current, which can effectively conduct current and are the carrier for conducting electrical energy. 

Cable is a wire product used for transmitting (magnetic) energy, information and electromagnetic energy conversion. 

It is usually composed of several or several sets of wires, which are divided into:

What is the Difference between the Two? 

1 The electric wire is composed of one or several soft wires, and the outer bread is made of a soft and soft protective layer.

The cable is composed of one or a few insulated electric wires, and the outer layer is made of a metal or rubber tough outer layer. 

Cables and wires are generally composed of a core wire, an insulating sheath and a protective sheath. 

In fact, there are no strict boundaries between "wires" and "cables." 

A product having a small number of cores, a small product diameter, and a simple structure is generally referred to as a wire, and a non-insulated product is called a bare wire, and the other is called a cable. 

Larger conductor cross-sectional areas (greater than 6 square millimeters) are called large wires, and smaller ones (less than or equal to 6 square millimeters) are called small wires, and insulated wires are also called cloth wires. 

2 The cable generally has more than 2 layers of insulation, most of which are multi-core structure, wound on the cable tray, the length is generally greater than 100 meters. 

The wires are usually single-layer insulation, single-core, 100-meter-volume, wireless disk. 

3 The small diameter is called “line”.

The large diameter is called “cable”. 

4 The structure is simple called "line"; the structure is complex called "cable". 

However, with the expansion of the scope of use, many varieties have "cables in the line" and "cable in the cable." 

So there is no need to make a strict distinction. In daily habits, people call household wire as a wire and power cable as a cable.
