Fixed wiring cables are predominantly used as power supply cables for sockets, switches and light fittings across residential, commercial and industrial environments. They are designed to be installed in a fixed position, fastened to a support or laid in a specific location – they are not suitable for mobile/ static equipment.

The range includes steel wire armoured and aluminium wire armoured cables suited to total immersion in water and can be installed in concrete. Some of our fixed wiring cables are available with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) oversheath, making them compliant with installations where life and equipment needs additional protection in the event of fire.

Single insulated building wire – PVC insulate electric wire

H07V-R/H07V-U is suitable for power and lighting circuits and building wiring. The cable is intended for use in semi-flush exposed conduits and embedded conduits as well as in closed installation ducts, and is ideal for the internal wiring of appliances.

Single insulated building wire - LSZH

This kind of cable is a single core stranded copper conductor cable for use in conduits, trunking and other fixed wiring protected installations. It is recommended for use in dry environments, for applications such as wiring lighting fixtures and appliances, distributor boards and switchboards.

As it has a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) insulation, making it suitable for insallations in public buildings where, in the event of fire, smoke and toxic fumes would pose a risk to life and equipment.

This cable has a voltage rating of 450/750V and an operating temperature range of 0oC to +90oC.

Insulated and sheathed single core cable. Used for meter tails

These cables are flexible general wiring low voltage (LV) double insulated single-core PVC cablewith a copper conductor offering light protection against mechanical damage. These are manufactured in accordance with British Standard BS6004,IEC60227 and are suitable for fixed installation with a voltage rating of 300/500V in dry or damp areas, for both domestic building and light industrial wiring. These cables are commonly referred to as double insulated cables, "Meter Tails" cables, or "Smart Meter" cables.

These cables should be installed in an area with low risk of mechanical damage, in a tray, clipped onto a surface, or suspended in free air.

Twin and earth cable

Twin and earth cable is a flexible flat sheathed mains electricity wiring cable used in a wide range of domestic electrical applications with a voltage rating of 300/500V. It can be installed in fixed wiring installations in dry or damp premises clipped to surface, on trays or in free air where there is no risk of mechanical damage. It is suitable for laying in conduit or trunking where mechanical protection is required.

Twin and Earth cable is a general fixed wiring and lighting cable, containing three conductors. As the name suggests, there is a pair or Twin current carrying conductors, both individually insulated, and one bare conductor which is the central protective circuit (CPC) or Earth.
