Albania and Macedonia energy ministry recently released news that connecting the 400 VK power transmission project between the two countries is expected to start construction in 2017 to further strengthen the power supply and regional energy security.
According to reports, the construction of the high-voltage power transmission cable project will also be achieved in Albania and Bulgaria, and Serbia's power grid system connection.
By then, these countries will also be through the Albania and Italy submarine power cable to achieve convergence with the Western European power market.
According to the plan, the high voltage power transmission project will connect Albania to the central area of Elbasan city and Macedonia Bituolashi.
Among them, the territory of Albania will be built with 70 km of overhead cables connected to the border of Macedonia.
It is reported that the total cost of the high-voltage power transmission project is about 0.107 Billion euros, and plans to be put into operation in 2018.
