Due to lack of electricity in a few days to reach 5,000 megawatts, Pakistan's power to rise to maximize.
2 days after the increase of 1500 MW of electricity, the supply and demand gap is still 5,000 MW.
At present, Pakistan's total power generation reduced to 9400 megawatts, while electricity demand remained at 14,700 megawatts. And hydropower is being affected by the lack of water storage.
At present, Pakistan's hydropower generating capacity of 6500 megawatts, but only 1,900 megawatts of capacity to produce electricity. Private power stations are providing 5500 megawatts of electricity while other resources are available at 2000 megawatts.
The result of this situation is that the city is facing 8-10 hours of load rejection, while rural residents at least 10-14 hours a day off the power.
Analysts believe that until the increase in water resources before, hydropower will not grow. Therefore, experts worry that due to increased power shortage, load will continue to expand further.
